An outstanding shigaite on rhodochrosite from the N’chwaning Mines, near Kuruman, in South Africa’s Northern Cape Province! This specimen features a complex shigaite crystal, measuring up to 1.5cm across, on a matrix of pink, botryoidal rhodochrosite. The shigaite rosette is sharply crystallized with an orange metallic sheen and exceptionally large for the species. No significant damage. Comes with a custom acrylic base.
